The Central Mass Strider men’s team traveled to Wayland,
MA for the third Grand Prix race in the Cross Country Grand Prix Series. The cross
country festival hosted a new course with plenty of challenging terrain in the
middle mile of the 5K. Dan Vassallo and Daniel Raboin placed 4th and
5th overall finishing 3 seconds apart.
Tim Van Orden was the 3rd
CMS runner and first Senior (50+) to cross the finish line. Arthur Besse, also
logging heavy miles for the Cape Cod Marathon (USATF New England Marathon Championship)
was the 4th CMS runner and 4th 40+ runner. Jonathan
Stiles made his CMS Men’s Racing Team debut, capped the 5th place to
allow the team to score in the USATF event.
The next XC Grand Prix race will be the New England
Championships at Franklin Park on November 11.
