Here are the results from the Winner's Circle Hangover "classic". I measured the 5k and came up with 3.28 miles, not sure about the 10k, but times seem pretty fast for the conditions. - dd

Great Bay 5K Race for a Healthy Estuary
I could see the 5k being a little long because the start is usually quite a distance from the 10k start when the race was at the old bar (bevie b's) but the 10k course is exactly the same as years past except the start /finished are different. You run the exact same course it just start/finishes on a different street. If the 10k were in fact short, then that would be the case for every other race that the course has been in this part of the beach. I think (not from experience) the course used to run from the actual Winners Circle bar.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I feel my effort equated to at least the same as last year and I ran 35:24. I do think the road conditions probably slowed times by at least 5 seconds per mile.
Good job by all and lets hope the next race offers dry ground (unless your snowshoeing, of course!)
i think I would've run that race better drunk.
