CMS teams win gold at Mount Washington

The Central Mass Striders teams ran away with three 1st place team finishes at the Mount Washington Road Race. CMS had 6 finishers in the top 30 and 8 finishers in the top 49 places. Scott Mindel, making his Mount Washington Road Race debut, was the top CMS finisher for the team taking 8th place overall with a time of 1:10:22. All CMS men below.

Weekend Results

The CMS men continued to dominate in the USATF New England Mountain Circuit. The open, masters, and senior teams each took first place at Cranmore Mountain in North Conway New Hampshire on Sunday. Todd Callaghan from Beverly, MA was the first place CMS finisher with his 4th place overall finish (1st 40+). Steve Brightman was the 2nd place Senior and CMS finisher with his 8th place overall finish. Ed Sheldon, Erik Vandendries and Robert Thomas also scored respectively for the teams. 

The following races remain the 8 race circuit that started on April 20.

6/8/19 - Ascutney Mountain Race, VT 3.8 mi road uphill

7/7/19 - Loon Mt, Lincoln NH - 6.6 mi trail uphill 3200 ft gain 

9/1/19  - Mt. Greylock, Adams MA  8 mi road uphill 

9/29/19 - Waterville Valley NH  (also the US Mountain Running Championships) 11km, 2 laps
